Plinko: rows, risk, and where the 99% actually comes from
Plinko looks like luck, and mostly is. But the two sliders — rows and risk — change the shape of the outcome distribution, not the expected return.
Same RTP, different rides
Every (rows, risk) combination on FreeStake pays 99% in the long run. Risk=low packs most outcomes into 0.5×–2×. Risk=high thins the middle and fattens the tails: most rounds return pennies, a few return hundreds.
Going from low to high doesn’t improve your odds. It trades frequent small wins for rare huge ones.
More rows, more variance
The bucket distribution is binomial — more rows = wider spread = taller peak multipliers on the edges. 16 rows high-risk can hit 1000× (p ≈ 1.5e-5); 8 rows high-risk caps at 29×.
